By creating an account or using Reindyr ("the Service," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
Reindyr is an interactive US-states travel tracker that allows individuals and couples to log trips, mark visited states, and optionally link accounts with one partner to view a shared travel map. The Service is hosted at reindyr.com and uses Supabase for authentication and data storage.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Reindyr. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You must provide a valid email address and choose a unique username to create an account. You are responsible for:
We reserve the right to reclaim or remove usernames that violate these Terms or impersonate others.
You retain full ownership of all content you create in Reindyr — trip records, notes, cities, profile information, and any photos you upload ("User Content"). We claim no intellectual property rights over your User Content.
By using the Service, you grant Reindyr a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your User Content solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service. If you enable social features, you additionally authorize us to display the User Content you choose to share — your profile, your non-private trips, and their photos — to the users you direct it to (people who follow you, and anyone who can view your public profile). You control this through your social setting, follow approvals, and per-trip privacy. This license terminates when you delete your account or remove the content.
You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringes the rights of any third party.
Reindyr allows you to link your account with one other registered user ("partner"). When linked:

Reindyr provides tools to report posts and users from the feed and from a user's profile. We review reports and may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, remove content, restrict or disable social features, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we judge harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
All software, design, graphics, and other materials comprising the Service (excluding User Content) are the property of Reindyr and its creator. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without express written permission.
Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Reindyr uses Supabase for authentication and database services, and is hosted on GitHub Pages. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information provided through the Service, including map data or user-submitted content.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VACATIO AND ITS CREATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Reindyr and its creator from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of another party.
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5 (your ownership), 11, 12, 13, and 15 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
